Biography
David Wong, B.A. graduated from UC Berkeley in fall of 2013 with a B.A. degree in integrative biology. He then joined the Atherosclerosis Research lab in the Department of Surgery at UCSF. David has since been assisting senior members of the lab with their research projects. This included helping to complete a study reporting beneficial effects of immmnusuppression on reversing cardiac failure in mice that survive myocardial infraction caused by coronary atherosclerosis. David has also been assisting with projects that investigate the contribution of microRNA-controlled immune cell activation and function in mouse models of diabetes and atherosclerosis. More recently David has been assisting with the isolation and study of exosomes as mediators of inter-cellular communication via microRNA.
