    Biography

Anh received his B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with departmental honors in 2019 from UC Berkeley. During his undergraduate education, Anh worked in Dr. Jay Stewart's lab at the UCSF Department of Ophthalmology with a focus in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and phototoxicity. During his time in Dr. Stewart's lab, Anh also developed the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) as an in vivo model to screen vasoactive compounds, which allowed him to complete his honors thesis. Anh joined Dr. Raffai’s lab in April 2019. His research interest focuses on the role of intercellular communication via exosomal miRNA in vascular biology, cancer biology, and neurobiology. He aspires to pursue a M.D. Ph.D. degree and become a physician scientist.

He is now a third year MSTP student at Yale School of Medicine.
