Graduate School
University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Matt is a recent graduate from UC Santa Barbara. While attending the university he conducted original research on the identification of expressed photoreceptive proteins in the cnidarian Hydra magnipapillata.  Through his undergraduate research Matt graduated with honors and distinction in the major.  Upon joining the Raffai laboratory in Fall 08, Matt has undertaken the task of elucidating the relationships between transgenic mice genotype and apolipoprotein expression.  It is hoped that through his work, we will gain insight into understanding the interactions between lipoproteins and athroscleretic regression.
